Step Up for Survivors: A Walk with Purpose
Every Step Makes an Impact. Every Dollar Fuels the Mission.
Mezzo Allies invites you to join us for our annual Step Up for Survivors Walkathon — a powerful, virtual journey where we move together to bridge the gap to safety for victims of family-controlled human trafficking and organized abuse. This isn’t just a walk. It’s a movement. When you participate or donate, you are helping survivors of one of the most hidden and complex forms of exploitation find a path to healing, hope, and justice.
Where Your Support Goes: Funds raised through this event directly support Mezzo Allies' mission-driven programs:
🛡️ Direct Services to Survivors & Their Advocates We provide compassionate, informed guidance to survivors seeking safety, and equip the advocates walking beside them with tools, resources, and trauma-informed support.
📚 Education & Training for Frontline Helpers From social workers to clinicians and first responders, we train the professionals most likely to encounter survivors — giving them the awareness and skills needed to recognize and respond effectively to this unique form of trafficking.
📣 Policy Advocacy for Systemic Change We work at local and state levels to advocate for stronger protections, expanded access to services, and legislation that reflects the lived realities of survivors of familial trafficking.
Why It Matters: More than 40% of human trafficking survivors report that their first trafficker was a family member or caregiver. This crime hides in plain sight — often misunderstood, often unaddressed.
By walking with us, you're shining a light into the darkest corners. You're helping to change the narrative, shift the systems, and open doors to safety that have been closed for too long. Join the Movement Whether you’re walking in memory, in hope, or in solidarity — you are part of a community that believes survivors deserve more.
Register to Walk, Start a Fundraising Team, Make a Donation Together, we can step up for survivors — and take real steps toward change.
